Three Questions

1. What Day of the Week Is It?  Oh, that’s right, I don’t care.  I’m so enormously enjoying my summer, doing hardly anything all day long, that I’ve barely even bothered to check the date.  I’ve been seeing friends and family, watching TV and movies, reading, and, of course, writing.  I suppose if you look at it another way, I’ve been too busy to look at the time.

2. How Many Words Have You Written?  Ten thousand and fifteen, which, if you are a devotee of NaNoWriMo, you will know is thirteen words above–that’s in excess of–what is required.  For yesterday’s word count.  I’m not a day behind because today isn’t over yet, but I’m very exactly on target and probably likely to keep it that way.  My motto is that you have to put some words down now in order to delete them successfully later.  Where “some” equals 10,015, which looks like a lot when you use numerals, but isn’t, really, for a novel.  It’s about thirty pages.

3. Why Aren’t You Adding Pages to Your Novel Now?  Right.  Good question.
