The first week of JuNoWriMo is over, and what does that mean? It means I’m 25% done with my novel. That’s right, dear Reader, I finished Chapter Three of twelve. My word count looks awesome. Behold!

As a reward, I treated myself to State of Wonder, Ann Patchett’s newest novel, which was just released today. (I read the first twenty pages in the store: it’s already beautiful and heartbreaking.) I’ve fallen quite behind on my books this month, having read only one and a half so far. Writing is excellent, but it can certainly cut into reading time.
And now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to go do some reading.
