An Update on My Update

1.  I am still reading Possession.  I haven’t been able to give it too much time, but it’s moving so slowly that I’m starting to feel impatient, and I’ve only just reached the halfway point.  If this snail’s pace continues, I’ll have to set Possession aside to read Kindred by Octavia E. Butler before class on Tuesday.

2.  I’m glad and sad that conferences will be over tomorrow.  I rather like my students, just not teaching them.

3.  My annotated bibliography is two entries shy of completion, and I’m about to plow through the final duo.  My goal is to finish before noon, so I can enjoy the rest of my day (filled with grading and paper outlining).  An annotation follows, if you should happen to be interested in one of the articles I liked rather well.

4.  I requested Bloom’s Le Guin yesterday via Inter-Library Loan, and it has already arrived.  I’ll pick it up tomorrow.  The ILL Department is also really fast at delivering electronically requested articles as PDFs right to my email.  Way to go, university library!  You are the true friend of students who wait until the last month of the semester to write a paper.
